Brooke Switzer - HHS Class of 2013 Senior Rep

Last Wednesday night I had a hard time sleeping. I was feeling too anxious and excited for my shoot on Thursday with Hillsdale High School class of 2013 senior representative Brooke Switzer. Why was I reeling over the looming photo shoot? Because not only was it one of my first full senior portrait sessions both indoors and outdoors without the guidance of John, but I was also going to be working with my youngest brother. I wanted to ensure I captured his personality and make my family proud and thrilled with his portraits. When Brooke and my mom arrived at the studio Thursday morning, I felt ready and excited at the challenge of taking his senior portraits. Thankfully, Brooke is extremely photogenic, and I'm sure having his older sister there helped ease him into the whole process.

As Brooke gets ready to enter his senior year at Hillsdale, he is most looking forward to his senior football season, personal fitness, and one last year to be with his friends that he's grown up with. His favorite activity that he's involved with is football, because it builds people's character and creates a brotherhood unlike anything else. Brooke says that people from football stay friends for a long time, and it is also, in his humble opinion, the greatest sport. In his free time, he enjoys playing video games, talking to his girlfriend, and playing his bass guitar. If Brooke could learn to do anything, he would learn to free run/parkour, because it looks so cool when people do it so effortlessly. After high school, Brooke plans on playing college football, majoring in computer science, and hopes to eventually start a business with his older brother and work as a video game developer - his dream job. Brooke says the most important thing he's learned in his life thus far is that you shouldn't let it pass you by, and you should live it fully.

Brookemeister - I had a blast working with you last Thursday! I can't believe you're about to enter your senior year at Hillsdale, but I am so looking forward to your final football season as a Falcon. I'm so proud of the young man you've grown into, and I hope you enjoyed getting your senior portraits taken as much as I enjoyed taking them.
