The Twelve Dancing Princesses

Flowers, and gold fairies, and princesses! Oh my! These terms sound like something straight out of a fairy tale, which is exactly where I felt I was this past Friday at the Ashland YMCA. Friday marked our annual photo shoot with the YMCA dancers.

As each dancer took her spot in front of the background for her portrait, I couldn't help but admire her costume. Each group of students had several different outfits to accompany their dance number. Every costume was simple yet elegant and perfectly illustrated the dance with which it was associated. The Flowers were brought to life with a lime green tulle tutu draped around their waists, the Gold Fairies each shone brilliant golden in their glistening costumes, and the Princesses looked as such with a crown adorning their neatly styled hair.

It was an enjoyable shoot with the talented and beautiful YMCA dancers. Their lively and accomplished instructor, Ann, plays an integral role in ensuring everything runs smoothly and that the dancers pose gracefully for their portraits. We always take pleasure in working with Ann and appreciate her attention to detail to make certain the dancers each get a stunning portrait.

If you would like to witness these beauties for yourself, their recital entitled "The Twelve Dancing Princesses" will be on Sunday, April 29th at 3PM at Trinity Lutheran Church.
